Privacy policy

Last updated: 18 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Nyume Jewels ("NyuMe", "we") collects and uses your personal data when you use nyume.in or buy from us. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules under them.

1. What we collect

  • Contact and delivery details: name, phone number, email, billing and shipping address.
  • Order details: items bought, returns, exchanges and support conversations.
  • Account and rewards details: login details, reward points, referral activity and (if you share it) your date of birth for birthday rewards.
  • Payment details: processed directly by our payment gateways. We receive confirmation of payment, not your full card or UPI credentials.
  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser, pages viewed and similar data collected through cookies and analytics tools.

2. Why we use it

  • To process, deliver and support your orders, returns and refunds (we need this to fulfil your purchase).
  • To run your account and NyuMe Rewards.
  • To prevent fraud and keep the website secure.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
  • To send you marketing by email, SMS or WhatsApp, and to show you personalised ads, only with your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time.

3. Who we share it with

We share only what is needed with service providers who work for us: Shopify (website hosting), payment gateways, courier partners, customer support, rewards, review and marketing tools, and analytics and advertising platforms (for example, Google and Meta) where you have agreed. We may also share data when the law requires it. We do not sell your personal data. Some providers may store data outside India, with safeguards in place.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the store and cart, and optional cookies for analytics and advertising. You can manage your choices through the cookie banner or your browser settings.

5. How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law. Order and invoice records are kept for the period tax laws require. Marketing data is deleted or anonymised once you withdraw consent, unless we must keep it by law.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold and how we use it;
  • correct, complete or update your data;
  • erase your data (unless we must keep it by law);
  • withdraw consent, which is as easy as giving it (for example, the "unsubscribe" link in our emails);
  • nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity; and
  • resolve a grievance about how we handle your data.

To make a request, email support@nyume.in with the subject "Privacy request". We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within the time the law allows. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

7. Children

Our website is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data without verifiable parental consent.

8. Security

We use reasonable security safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and access controls. If a personal data breach affects you, we will notify you and the authorities as required by law.

9. Changes

We will post any changes on this page and update the date above.
